The Jonathan Trumbull Library is pleased to offer interlibrary loan service. If you would like to borrow materials not owned by the library, you may call or visit the Library (860-642-7763) to ask for assistance or you may request them yourself online.
The first, fastest and best way to borrow an item that JTL doesn't own is to request it from another Bibliomation library by following the instructions below.
TO REQUEST AN INTRALIBRARY LOAN THROUGH BIBLIOMATION:
Click on "Access Your Account" on the Library's homepage. The first time you log in, you need to use your 14 digit barcode number on the back of your library card as your user name. Your first password is the last four digits of your home phone. You can change your password and username under "Account Preferences" after you have logged in. If you have trouble accessing your account at any time, you can call the library to ask us to reset your password to your four digit phone number.
Enter your user name and your password.
The search box is near the top of the screen. Enter your search terms. Note that the "Library" box says "Jonathan Trumbull".
Click on "Search".
If you don't find the item, use the drop down to change "Jonathan Trumbull" to "Bibliomation" (at the very top of the list.)
When you find the item you want, click on "Request Item".
Verify your pick up library and select how you would like to be notified. Then click "submit."
You may get a message that your hold cannot be placed at this time. Some libraries do not loan certain types of materials and many do not loan new materials.

Important Interlibrary Loan Information for Jonathan Trumbull Library Patrons
The Connecticut State Library announced that the reQuest online Interlibrary Loan catalog will shut down on June 30, 2015 for at least two months while they bring a new Interlibrary Loan system online.
Because of this decision by the Connecticut State Library, effective June 1, 2015, the Jonathan Trumbull Library can no longer accept Interlibrary Loan requests via the online reQuest catalog. We apologize for any inconvenience.
In the meantime, we will continue to offer Interlibrary Loan service through our own library catalog with Bibliomation. Currently, at least 80% of our interlibrary loan requests are fulfilled by one of our 59 member libraries. If you need assistance using the catalog to request interlibrary loans, please ask library staff for assistance.
We will keep you
posted and we thank you for your patience.. The State Library estimates that a
new Interlibrary loan system will be implemented by the fall of 2015.
Call the library (642-7763) for assistance with any part of this process
