November Artist of the Month

Karen Olson is a resident of Windham Center, a retired teacher, and an artist. Since retirement, Karen has actively worked to advance her skills in drawing watercolor, acrylic, and oil media. Her work has been exhibited in juried shows in Tolland, Mansfield, and Willimantic, and she has been a frequent contributor to the Windham Jazz in the Garden Festival to benefit their local library.

Karen is also a dedicated participator in Windham Hospital Gallery shows sponsored by the Windham Regional Arts Council, where she served on the board as Art Exhbition Chairman for ten years. She drew much inspiration for her art from her floral gardens and from various travel experiences.
